While the décor leans toward the traditional, the vibrant jazz tunes that often play in the background add a warm and soothing ambiance, setting the tone for an enjoyable dining experience.

The culinary offerings here are truly the heart of Uncle Joe’s. The menu is a celebration of flavors—with an emphasis on perfectly grilled meats and comforting classics. Signature dishes like the New York Steak and Eggs and the various lamb specialties including the Spring Lamb, Roasted Lamb Leg, Rack of Lamb, and New Zealand Leg of Lamb are beloved for their tender texture and expertly seasoned char that seals in juices without overpowering the natural flavors. These standout items have consistently won praise for their perfect cook and satisfying portions, making each bite feel like a celebration of fine Western dining.

If you lean toward something lighter or more refined, the French Onion Soup is a rich and aromatic starter that warms you from the inside out, topped with melted cheese that’s beautifully golden and bubbling. The seafood selections are equally tantalizing—the Fillet of Sole, Halibut and Fries, and the Seafood Salad featuring fresh garden vegetables topped with shrimp, crab meat, and scallops, deliver a fresh yet indulgent experience with every forkful.

For pasta lovers, dishes like the Tomato Sauce & Shrimp with grilled shrimp swimming in a homemade tomato basil sauce, and the creamy Fettuccine Chicken in Alfredo Sauce offer rich and flavorful options, though some guests have found the pasta offerings more subdued compared to the robust grill options. Sides such as the Cheesy Garlic Bread and the iconic French Onion Soup complete the meal with satisfying textures and flavors, adding layers to the overall dining experience.

The breakfast specials here are no less impressive. The iconic Two Eggs Breakfast Special with Bacon and Coffee promises classic, nostalgic comfort — crispy, savory bacon paired with perfectly cooked eggs, all washed down with fresh coffee that wakes up your senses and energizes your day. It’s the kind of breakfast that feels like a warm hug on a plate.

Real guest experiences reveal the genuine care and value Uncle Joe’s brings to its community. Customers frequently commend the restaurant for its attentive service and generous portions, with many highlighting the perfectly grilled steaks and lamb dishes as unforgettable. While some reviewers note the décor is due for a refresh and have mixed feelings about certain pasta dishes, there is widespread appreciation for the authenticity and comfort embodied in every meal. The reasonable prices combined with the hearty servings make Uncle Joe’s a standing recommendation for anyone craving satisfying, honest-to-goodness Western fare.

I have only has the toasted western and fries. Without ant doubt at all this western is way better than any other I have ever had and the price was reasonable. The fries were good. Bright and fresh rather than darker brown indicating old grease. I have only been there twice both times about 2 pm to 3 pm and I was the only one there. I like the Jazz FM music they always play as that is what I almost listen to. For me the place being empty with just music was great but I am concerned they may not be getting enough business. That is why I decided to write this review. For me they are probably the best restaurant anywhere.

A small family restaurant. Decor needs an update. Food was average and prices fair. Service was attentive and personable. Parking can be found behind the restaurant.

I tried the burger, pasta, and the steak. My verdict is to come here only for the burger. I like how they toasted the bun and the meat is tasty. Fries is also nice and potatoey. I would not recommend getting pasta, because it was very bland. The steak was very dry and not worth it. Price is reasonable.

Pretty good food!! Don’t be deceived by the fact that it’s Chinese owned. The food was great comfort food and the service was spot on. The portions were huge and for the amount of food you receive, I think the price is quite acceptable (you see it being pricey in the beginning until the food arrives). We had the lamb special order, which is shareable for 5 people and it was enough and I can eat quite a bit. Topped my appetite off by tasting some of my family’s food and just the right amount of fullness. My wife had the salmon and scallops and the scallops seemed a little dry and tough, but the salmon was delicious. Kids had the pasta and they loved it. Good job and awesome service!! Place did seem a bit outdated and could use an update, but it kinda matched the comfort food feel and did not take away from our experience. Parking can be a little cumbersome if you don’t come early and you would have to park in the back and walk around, which isn’t nice when raining.

Cannot believe this is the first time I am trying this place when it has opened for like 20years. The decor is a typical cafe/diner style, nothing fancy but clean and tidy. The service is friendly and attentive as well.. I would recommend to get their grill dish, the steak, lamb dish that came from the grill are perfectly cooked with a nice char but not burnt and yet juicy! I really enjoyed the steak dinner there tonight. I definitely would go again! Forgot to mention, they have onion soup too.. it won’t be the best you have tried but for $6, it’s worth it in my opinion.

Very nice server and food. I asked for medium steak and it was medium. Comes with fries, veggie, soup and garlic bread and tea. Service was prompt.
